PIATRA SECUIULUI
Vârful Piatra Secuiului cu o înalţime de 1171 m din Munţii Trascăului este situat in granita de hotar al Comunelor Moldovenesti si Rimetea. Din acest motiv a devenit foarte popular în rândul turiştilor care vizitează zona Moldovenesti – Rimetea care işi propun măcar să meargă la poalele sale dacă nu chiar pe creste.
Drumul pe jos pana in varf, fie din Moldovenesti, Podeni sau Pietroasa fie pe pantele abrupte din Rimetea, “fac toti banii” cum spune o vorba din popor. Odata ajuns pe creste, panoramele locului iti bucura ochii si te fac sa ramai “ca la dentist”, urmarind linia orizontului la 360 grade.
Deseori va intalniti cu practicantii de parapantism pe care ii puteti admira cum dau tarcoale crestelor si satelor de la poalele muntelui asemeni unor vulturi in cautarea prazii, sau pe impatimitii motocross-ului (Enduro).
Privind de sus satele si Cetatea Coltesti, poti sa-ti imaginezi fel de fel de scenarii antice sau medievale, sau sa admiri urmele fortificatiilor stravechi prin ceramica dacica sau medievala scoasa la iveala de cartite ori poti trage un pui de somn in adierea vantului pregatindu-te de o coborare in graba spre o ciorba calda la Poarta Apusenilor.

SZEKELY STONE
The top of the Szekely Stone reaches 1171 meters and is situated at the territorial limit of the communes Moldoveneşti and Rimetea. It is a very popular attraction for the tourists who visit the area Moldoveneşti-Rimetea, and who walk at least at its feet, if not even on its summit.
Walking up to its summit, from Moldoveneşti, Podeni or Pietroasa, or on the steep slopes from Rimetea, “are worth every penny”, as they say. Once on the summit, the view is breathtaking, 360 degrees around to the horizon. Here one can often meet people paragliding around the rock and above the villages at its feet, like vultures looking for their prey, or motocross enthusiasts.
Looking from the summit to the villages below and the Colţeşti fortress, one can imagine various ancient and medieval sceneries. On the summit, traces of old settlements are brought to light by moles who take Dacian and medieval pottery to the surface. You can also enjoy the nice breeze of the wind, and then get ready to descend and eat a hot soup at the pension Poarta Apusenilor (The Western Carpathians’ Gate).
